If you listen to Mohammed Ali or Conor McGregor (the UFC fighter) they clearly plan their fights in their head and attribute a large part of their success to this visualisation which gives them belief in themselves.

For me a battle might be a few rounds of flirting with a woman, in order to be prepared with some witty answers to what she might say or how the conversation might go having "rehearsed" some of this in my mind definitely helps me get something quick and funny out at the time.

Now I know that no one can plan for every eventuality but I find that generally rehearsing in my own mind helps with confidence and I am then more able to be in the right frame of mind to give good responses for the most random unplanned things that a woman may say.

Trying to bring this to a close, what my question is:

Do you plan/visualise in advance, particularly at the beginning in order to be more prepared and more confident when interacting?

At what point is too much introspection?
I might be listening to an audiobook, then stop for 5-10 minutes while I visualise a potential conversation or some good lines in my own mind before getting back to the educational material.

I assume that if I was 100% total Alpha then I would always know what to say and when to say it without any planning. But do Talkshow hosts like Craig Ferguson do some degree of planning/rehearsal for their conversations?

One Sentence Summary

Is my planning a potential conversation (with a specific woman or women in general) productive or am I a crazy mofo?
