I've had plates before but I'm new to approaches. The thing that holds me back is the fact that I would be better off with a little bit of knowledge to steer me in terms of a conversation.

Is it worth reading books or just to wing it?

I read BANG by RooshV... he talks about conversation and about "THREADS" which I should maybe read again, but I'm just wondering you guys experiences on how you got good @ talking to women. I have no problem closing, I have no problem escalating... but the conversation at the very beginning is tough because sometimes these women are so boring, so I get intimidated in a "how do I dumb it down for this girl" sort of way.
