clubs are bars were my bread and butter but now that it's summer and everything is closed, I've been approaching girls while I'm out running errands or spending time outside. My SMV is high, gym for about four years, athlete, 6 foot tall.

Approached a girl that was watching me skateboard and she gave me every IOI possible. Asking me questions, compliments, fixing hair, carrying the conversation, said she was free tomorrow, and triple-checked that she gave me the right number. We're in similar majors so we have a lot in common. I cut the interaction by saying I had somewhere to be, letting it end on a high note. She had a huge smile on her face as she walked away and it looked like I genuinely made her day better by approaching. In other words, a near perfect interaction.

I text her, very quick response and we go back and forth a few messages and I wait 30-45 min in between each message. I then go to confirm the meetup and she just ghosts. Not even a cancellation. Is this common in daygame? Have any of you experienced a near perfect interaction just fizzle out like this? I was completely surprised by this, out of left field. Should I adjust my expectations for daygame? This is the second time this happens to me from a near perfect interaction. In both cases I was slow to respond to her texts so I'm thinking maybe I killed the momentum?

Do you typically delete the number or soft-next for 7-10 days? I posted the screenshot of our conversation below. Had a similar conversation with the other girl I approached. Great interaction, responds to texts quickly, but then ghosts when I set a specific meetup.

I get that rejection is normal and believe me I've been rejected plenty of times. But fuck, if I can't secure a date off two perfect interactions then god damn. I new to this so want to know what to expect from people who have been doing this for years. Let me know.
