I have a teen daughter. In terms of just physical appearance, she's probably a 9, and most of her circle of friends are also in about the 8-10 range. (they're involved in dance and cheerleading) You would think that these girls are swimming in boyfriends but they're not. On the other hand there are at least 2 boys that my daughter has dated that are in the 9-10 range (just physical appearance) and as much as she'd like to go out with either one of them again, she can't because they're completely inundated with girls hitting on them. She has also dated a few boys in the 7-8 range, but I never hear her talk about them.

This observation actually corroborates with things I've read in redpill forums. Males don't really seem to be as picky about the physical appearance of females. Once they reach a certain level, it seems to be good enough. Females on the other hand, seem to have a sort of "uncanny valley" thing (google it). Whereas males that have reached a very high level of physical appearance have an extreme level of desirability, and the ones just below are well, not.

I've created a quick graph to try to illustrate this. The x axis scale 1-10 is "physical appearance" (not other things like personality or money or intelligence) and the y axis scale 0-100 is "desirability" for lack of a better word. The red line is females perceiving males, and the blue line is males perceiving females.

Is this generally correct?
