I have been having pretty aggressive thoughts for the past year.

These thoughts mostly involve scenarios where somebody is confronting me in an aggressive/domineering manor, and i react with violence.

These scenarios constantly run through my head, each one different, and i want to know why and how to stop it..

EDIT: For some background, i feel like it could be some inferiority complex..

I started college last year, and started frequenting a lot of bars around the start of last year. Numerous times i ended up in a situation where somebody wanted to fight me, but i would just laugh and continue on, but in my head i really just wanted to hit them/seriously hurt them. I've been in fights before, but i was scared to go up against these guys in public without knowing the outcome, so i resorted to dismissing the confrontation. But it still didn't change how i felt about myself, i felt like a bitch for not doing anything. But aside from that, i was a pretty easy going drunk.

Then later that year, a guy got aggressive with me and grabbed me by the shirt, so i punched him and ended it. I felt good about this, but in hindsight i wish it had gone differently. Every confrontation i've had since then i have resorted to violence mainly on my end. I have become an angry drunk. Recently it got me into trouble where a much bigger guy knocked me flat.

And even though i recognise the lesson from this outcome, i think next time i get drunk with my mates i will be once again looking for an outlet to let out all my pent up rage/insecurities of being dominated. So i've stopped drinking to avoid putting myself and others at risk, but these thoughts are consuming me - of being dominated in some form of confrontation or by some kind of authority figure, and me acting out in extreme aggression..

Post kind of took a turn, but would really appreciate some insight
