Whenever I'm in the gym I make it a point to not avoid eye contact with anybody so naturally I notice a lot of things when it comes to this. One of the things that I've noticed is it feels more like a staring contest than an IOI whenever I'm making eye contact with girls, most of them hold eye contact for at least a couple seconds but they never smile, and I think it's because I have the male equivalent of resting bitch face. I see my plate in the gym every once in a while and whenever I'm over at her house she tells me I look pissed off whenever I'm in the gym. So to get to the point I feel like I'm just scaring off these girls and intimidating them rather than fostering a flirtatious interaction. Since I've been told this by numerous people, I have noticed I don't really smile much in the gym, I don't really know if it's a problem in the gym but I could see how it could hinder a girl from being receptive if I'm cold approaching or meeting them in some other way. What do you guys think?
