It's more of a share/vent. I thought I was somewhat red pilled, then I saw all of it happen in real time. I truly think we have to experience the shit to actually accept it.

Known LTR for 3+ years, been exclusive for little over a year now. Things are generally awesome and we have a great time together. We live an hour away but it has never been an issue.

Fast forward to a last week. We just got back from a resort vacation, and it was amazing. Two days later she wants a break because she "needs time to think about things because we fight too much." What?

Now this is coming from a girl who wants me to travel across the world to meet her family and convert to her religion. It should be noted that I'm a complete secret to them, I literally do not exist even though we've spent so much time together. Truthfully I've pussyfooted around the whole meet the family thing because I doubt I'm going to want to live on the middle East for 5, 10, 15 years.

I go over there (mistake I know) to see what's up. Then the truth comes out. This girl is hysterical that she can't tell her family about us, and that she's guilty all the time, and that when her program is over next year, she doesn't know if she wants to stay on the US. I can't count the number of times I've been asked to go meet the family or convert to her religion. So in her words it's to pull the band aid off. Shit.

I'll admit it sucks and did not see it coming, but it's a real life example of how these things work and it can happen to any of us. The party is over and it's time to move on.
