If there’s no reason to smile, don’t. If nothing is funny at the time, don’t laugh. If someone says something that is supposed to be funny and you don’t find it funny, don’t laugh.

My rule is don't laugh at your own jokes unless the person you're talking to laughs first, but this has exceptions if you're teasing by laughing at the girl and not with her. Laughing with them is kind of submissive, and you only submit less than they do, like 2/3rds texting rule.

Also, if there's tension definitely don't laugh out of the blue to break it, let it sit. Attitude is like staring contest, she must break first.

Bruh I always laugh too much for a long time when I'm in class with my friends but i don't really care even if i had to keep my frame not to laugh it'll be to hard for me.

From my model, laughter and smiling are submissive signals. Unless there is a direct laughing at someone.
