don't be like the kids at my school, leaning before bulking. boys have noodle arms but a clearly defined six pack. I'd rather have the arms and look chubby, frankly.

You can be ripped with a low body fat percentage, strive for that.

honestly coming off my first successful cut 190-175 lbs I can say bulking was better. sure the vascularity and definition is fun, but your workouts suffer and you simply are trying to keep whatever progress you made on our bulk. but as you get leaner it’s inevitable that you get weaker. So you lose a lot of your progress in strength. I think there is a happy medium if you can dial in our calories correctly. but if it’s not summer and you’re not going to be at the beach/pool a ton, lean bulk is where it’s at

There’s lots of male hamsters in here. “Power lifter” build is not optimized for attraction. Cutting sucks but its worth it. Of course I did a bulk last winter to get where I am now, I won’t ever go on a major bulk again.

Really depends what your goal is here. Do you want to compete in powerlifting or physique competitions? Are you simply trying to have the strong sexy look? Define your goals then you can decide your plan, they all have different strategies.

I’ve been fat, power lifter build and currently lean at 5-10 160ish 11-12bf%. I am muscular enough to be obviously buff. Lean by far gives me the best results with women. Power lifter build worked but not as well as lean. Fat didn’t work well at all.

Do both. I never understood people that made them mutually exclusive. There's a lot of ways to achieve this, personally found intermittent fasting to be easy and very effective. Used an 8 hour eating window. Lift heavy, get your protein in, and 8 hours of sleep you'll be good. Consistency over a long period is key.
