Stop caring about dumb shit you can't control.
Lift big, eat big, get big.

well I can control it to an extent I was just checking.

I was 130lbs and 5ft 8 at your age, 6 months later i was 155lbs. How? Lift big, eat big.
I recommend starting strength

How much of a difference did it make for you? Do you look a lot more physical imposing/impressive? New to weights etc so struggle to visualise the difference in terms of pounds.

gaining it that rapidly meant i put on a lot of fat, but most people noticed i'd got bigger and more imposing, but not in a bad way

Great - the thing is I always thought I was skinny but I have fat undefined cheeks so I guess I've got a body with very low fat but puppy fat on my face which I really want to get rid of. I hope lifting doesn't exacerbate this problem.

believe me, at 5"4, if you get to 150lbs lean, you will be a beast. Even at 130lbs, you should not be too bad, i suspect you're "skinny fat"

Crap I meant to put 5ft 11 and 3/4
[–]desno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (3 children) | Copy Link
that makes a huge difference lmao. Just do it. I guarantee even after a month you will notice the difference

Is 130lb at basically 6ft at 19yo a very light weight? Am I really skinny or a medium - light weight?
[–]desno0 points1 point2 points 9 years ago (1 child) | Copy Link
you're basically a pole. You want to get to about 170lbs imo
Ok, I'll try and work towards that thanks mate ;)

Are you really asking if gaining 25 pounds of muscle will make you more attractive? Yes absolutely it does. 5 years ago I was 130lbs at 5'8. Now I'm 155 creeping up to 160 and the difference is night and day.
Tbf I bet it is - just got to get myself to the gym now and work hard and built myself up.

I'm 1,75m and I have a fucking huge head. It drew attention until I was around 77kg to 80kg. These days it doesn't matter if I'm with a higher or lower bf, my head looks normal. At 95kg my head actually looks small so I favor Polo shirts, I used to dread them when I was younger.
Work your shoulders, they're what will balance your head. Also, eating and lifting properly performs wonders at my age, so I assume for you it'll be a miracle.
Great - thanks a lot man that's given me some confidence ^
