Some LTR context - first proper, committed relationship for me. She was a FWB that I decided to LTR, she asked me first after about 6 months. Relationship has been rocky. We're both hot tempered and proud. I cheated on her a few times, was abusive on occasion but she always wanted to continue the rs. When things are good, it's really good but when it's bad it sucks.

Anyway it's about 1.5 years in at this point, I haven't cheated on her for a long time now (most of that happened almost a year ago). What sucks the most now is how boring it is. I find her boring to talk to 80% of the time and she doesn't ever suggest things to do, it's always on me.

I stay in a pretty small boring city called Singapore. Sure there's shit to do if you look hard enough but the novelty wears off after a while.

So today I told her how I sometimes felt like I was just in the relationship to pass time. She cried, said she wasn't bored of me but shes bored of what we do (IE dinner, walking around, exercising once in a while etc) and I fully agree. For some further context, she stays at my house every night even though that makes her work commute twice as long. We see each other every fucking day.

Any advice? Is it normal for relationships to get a little stale after 1.5 years?
