So I was at the gym and saw this cute, short girl. She started working out in front of me. I was in the middle of doing some heavy weighted chin ups. I kept seeing her look over at me. I told myself once I finish my sets I am going to go up and talk to her. So after about 8 minutes I finished my sets. However her friend then comes up to her and they start lifting together. I gather up all my balls and go up to them while they were resting and ask about something. They seemed some what engaging and etc. Got their names but forgot to introduce myself. Small talked for about a minute then kinda ran out of things to say and it got kinda awkward. I told them to have a good workout and went on with my workout, forgetting to ask the girl for her number.

I kept seeing her glance over at me during the rest of my workout and ended up bumping into them again at the end because they were using the machine I finish up on. Asked how many sets they had but didn't ask for her number again. As I was leaving I noticed them talking to the front desk people.

A day later I remembered I had been following someone on instagram that had her name. Looked at her profile and they looked incredibly similar. Shot her a DM asking if she goes to X at Y. She followed me but didn't reply to my message. She was always the first to view my stories so I waited two days and shot her another message and it went like so:

M: Guess not, I thought I met you X lolemoji H: Sorry yah that wasn't me! H: I think M: Watchu mean you think? Your name is X, right? H: Yah H: Someone hacked my account I didn't say "I think" sorry M: Haha yeah right, you funny. Explained what we talked about H: A clone M: Aight, I get it. No worries

Did I come off as some sort of super creep? It isn't like I stalked her. I had randomly followed her almost 12 months ago from a friend. I just happened to remember seeing someone post occasionally with her name. Obviously it was her considering she went with the "Someone hacked my account". I almost died laughing irl when she said that.

I'm glad I got the balls to approach but now I'm seeing why you shouldn't hit on girls where you go to often.
