I would say do it, ask them to practice a magic trick on, except magic these days is a little dull. Maybe you can find something with the same concept. You "need to practice something" and want a "partner". I know there's one guy who does this with a camera. Says he wants to practice taking pictures, then flirts while he's taking the pictures.

If you could do it in a way that connotes high value (if you are doing it for a crowd and ask her to join) I’d say yes. If not, then try something less conspicuous.

Think about how this looks to her: a random guy comes up to her, asking to watch his magic trick. He clearly wants something from her, and without the proper frame it could very easily degrade to her doing you a favor rather than you engaging each other on equal terms.

You’re already too invested in her reaction in an interaction that hasn’t even started yet.
