If you've known a (Canadian) girl for 10+ years as friends, and then you two hit it off and she's willing to move in with you, would you consider marriage so you can be together? (Under US laws, she can only be on a visitor visa for 6 months out of a 12 month period.)

Also: Assume she's like most girls, who aren't considered "highly skilled" for a work visa - say she works in sales at the mall or something. Also, assume no red flags in the relationship.

I don't expect it to last by any means. I am just of the mindset that it would be a decent 2-3 year run. My goal is mostly just to waste time until I'm dead when it comes to women. I'm mostly thinking about "is marriage really such a big deal" when proper protections are in place (namely a prenuptual).
