If you dont want to be confrontational, just take a pic of the basement from the camera angle and hang it up in front of the camera.

But it would be far better if you were confrontational. Not violent or aggressive, but simply say "I'm disconnecting that camera when I'm down there with my girlfriend." Or don't say it and just do it and if he brings it up say "I'm fucking my girl down there, it's not appropriate for there to be a camera on."

This all takes guts man, but far better to take action and deal with the fallout than to be a spineless puss.
