Question: What're your guys' morning routines and how has the routine helped you in pursuit of your goals and in the SMP?

There is great importance in having a solid daily routine to help build momentum for the day and elevate your mood. I recommend watching Richard Cooper's interview with Dr. Sean Stephenson all the way through. There is a segment where Dr. Stephenson touches on his routine and building momentum: https://youtu.be/9vYd0FUoUl0

I'll leave my morning routine here and elaborate on how each part aids in both areas.

My Routine:

0600: Wake Up

-Waking up early has led to more productivity in my day (i.e. actionable steps toward my large goals)

0615: Start My Walk Outside

-Outside being the key component here. I absolutely love being outdoors. I would say I look forward to this part of my routine the most. The walk lasts for 30 minutes or so. This is my time to visualize my future- to see every detail and reverse engineer it to what steps I need to take that day in order to put myself there. This time is my version of meditation.

-Also, while walking I make sure to "walk like a king". Head up, scapula retracted, neutral pelvis. I've had postural issues since my youth (self-induced as with most cases) and the walk helps to build the mind-muscle connection to correct the issue. I also add a bit of swagger to my step. Bitches love swagger.

-I also play this number on loop while I visualize: https://youtu.be/nLeQuvhLczU

0645ish: (If my walk hasn't lasted longer than usual) Corrective Stretches For Posture

-Now that my joints are nice and loose, I take 15 minutes or so to stretch each muscle in the posterior chain, starting from the traps and ending at the calves. I also like to get a deep stretch in my chest and front delts.

-Never doubt the affect of a good posture when running game or interacting in general. Try it and see the affects for yourself

0700: Cold Shower

-Cold. Showers. Period.

0715: Read

-I like to take a chunk of time to read for 30 minutes or so in the morning. It's calming and I find I retain things better and it a small thing that improves my mood. The book Im currently on is the Red Pill Bible: The Rational Male (Book #1) by Rollo Tomassi. https://www.amazon.com/Rational-Male-Rollo-Tomassi/dp/1492777862/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1533127490&sr=8-1&keywords=the+rational+male Couldn't tell you why I didn't start reading this series sooner but hey, hindsight is 20/20.

0745: Work On My Craft

-The rest of my morning prior to leaving for work is dedicated to working on my craft. I am currently studying for my upcoming Personal Training Certification Exam (NASM for the curious). I will also work on one of my life goals which is owning a supplement company.

1000: Leave For Work

Gentlemen, that concludes my morning routine. I do want to add that I do not eat during that time (Intermitted Fasting). I am curious to see what you all take from this post, or what you may have to add. Leave a comment and let me know what your morning routine looks like. Thanks.
