Need advice for going Monk mode

Advice is to not do 'monk mode'. It's too passive, better to do an 'adventure mode' for a week where you try a lot of crazy shit. Or just live your life instead of forcing yourself into 'modes' of behaviour.

Figure out who you want to be/what you want, commit to becoming yourself and achieving your goals, then drive forward, and never look back. Monk mode is a temporary fix and likely just a form of procrastination

Agreed. Create daily habits that push your goals but make time for a social life.

If you stop and enter the cave to work on yourself, you’ll be stagnating—or worse, regressing—in other ways (namely socially).

You can’t hide from failure. You just need to manage your time better to make room for the things you want to improve.

Find balance.

Nothing wrong with monk mode IMO as long as your doing it for the right reasons. Got a big exam you need to study for? Need to lose weight before vacation in a couple of months? Just started a businessman need to focus? Ect these are good reasons for a short 1-3 months max monk mode.

But if you’re just doing it because you aren’t getting laid, you don’t like your body and are afraid to approach, feeling defeated or any other non short term goal related thing. You’re just wasting time and procrastinating.

I went monk mode for 6 months earlier this year. IMO, monk mode is best for when you're suffering from some intense pain, have some urgent deadline to meet - or something of that nature. I stopped grinding it out when I reached a big milestone.
