Do it. Go out, talk to her, remember to be half nice and half dick (hard to judge at first, but you'll get there with practice).

The basic game plan is:

YOU have fun. YOU YOU YOU. You do what is fun for YOU.
Escalate sexually (this means gradually increasingly intimate touching with pull-backs and gaps)
Get more options so you care less
Whatever you do, never ever mentally trap yourself into "trying to make this work with this girl".
Talk to other people when you're with her

On the latter point: women will set themselves up as the prize, and it's easy to fall into that frame (ie trying to make it work to get the prize) if you're not used to women. Don't fall for this. Instead you are NOT trying to make it work and you ARE gaming other girls.

And if she finds out that im truly 5'10, will she be turned off?

Doubt she can measure within 2 inches. Everyone lies on social media, so you kinda have no choice on this. Wear shoes ;)

Yes saying you’re 6 feet when you’re 5 foot 10 is pretty stupid. Your best bet is to just not say anything about it and hope she forgets or she’s so glad to get any kind of male attention that she’s going to overlook that.

You sound like the kind of guy who is ultra self-conscious, so why would you set yourself up for failure by lying about your height.? 5 foot 10 is not even that short. Those stupid 2 inches are all you’re going to be able to think about.I’m 5 foot 10 myself, and that’s tall enough that height is not an issue for most women. Hell my current girlfriend is 5 foot nine.

You’re not gonna change your personality overnight, so I would just embrace your shyness and awkwardness and inexperience. but, this is vitally important, do it in a jokey fun type of way as opposed to a mopey miserable I’m so fucked up kind of way. Like “you’re gonna laugh at this, but sometimes I’m too shy to even order in a restaurant“. “I’m really too shy to even talk to girls, and I don’t even know what to say, but I really liked your profile and I thought we might have some things in common.“ your only hope is that she finds that endearing. If she doesn’t, you’re out of luck, but if she does maybe it’ll work out to something. I don’t really see any other approach that might work for you.

Also, realize you’ve got nothing to lose here. Most first dates don’t turn into anything, so set your expectations accordingly. dating apps are a numbers game, you’ve got to keep playing until you come up with a winner.

Lying about height is already a bad start, you’re living in her frame before you even go on the date. You need to gain as much DGAF on this date as possible. Like others said you won’t change overnight, just work on it

Girls are terrible at telling height. 2 inches is not a big enough difference and with shoes on + hair you are likely 6’ or at least very close.
