Alright so gonna keep it brief, Just finished my first semester in college and this girl goes to my college and went to my highschool. She had liked me second semester of highschool for several weeks but I curved her and she stopped trying.

Started liking her a lot with 3 weeks left in the semester, so I asked to hangout with her (get lunch, study), and it only happened twice. I asked the week before exam week and she said she was busy studying (she cares about grades a lot so it likely isn’t a bs excuse). Invited her to a party once break started and she canceled saying she was “sick” last minute”. Then the next day talks about wanting to party on New Years. So I ask her if she is available to get lunch and she says she is busy.

I know everyone says don’t tell a girl you like her over text, but I feel as if this girl needs to be reassured of it. I can’t find the time to tell her in person. In high school I think she started pursuing me because she mistook my friendliness in person for me liking her. But I also never asked her to hangout in highschool so idk. Is straight up texting her about the situation the correct move?
