I'm not going to draw this out - I'll get to the point as quick as I can. First off, thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any replies. I feel I'm completely stuck, paralyzed at the moment.

I'm almost 25, and have been in a LTR with a woman double my age for almost 5 years now. Age gap doesn't bother me. We've lived together for 3-4 years. She divorced her husband who she hated to live with me, and has two kids, both grown up.

In essence, I feel like I've reached a point where I'm just... different from who I was 5 years ago. I really want to make it on my own, go travelling, be my own man for a while. I work a lot (which I enjoy), have some good interests etc., but I just feel so *** bored and have this burning desire to travel... alone... and sleep with other women. Whether this makes me a bad person, I don't know.

What's my problem? I feel like if I leave her, it's going to devestate her. She is much older, but I don't believe she's much wiser (I have read much of the sidebar - most responsible teenager probably is true), but I've never broken up successfully with anyone - she's my first LTR.

Look, I just feel paralyzed. On the one hand I feel that if I break up with her I can go travelling, get a job I want, get my own place and see other women, but at the same time this will devestate her, I'll wreck our fairly decent relationship (we get on fairly well), and I guess it's the unknown...

If I stay, although I'll probably make her happy, I know that deep down inside I'll always be thinking 'what if'?

I just feel lost, and after reading TRP for a while, I feel like you guys are the only people who can help. I have few friends, and definitely no one to confide in. Any advice or experiences would be so appreciated, and would mean the world.

Edit: Just wanted to clarify that perhaps the reason I just feel so paralyzed is because I don't believe we have a bad relationship at all, and therefore there's no solid 'reason'... I honestly don't know.
