I am a 19 year old uni student; male (of course). Finishing my first year of uni in September.

So, I was recently red-pilled; after months at uni of being beta, foolishly thinking that making female ''friends'' was progress and partying (got no action btw), I decided to read into self-improvement. Eventually found TRP, so I decided that monk-mode is what I need...time for myself, I was so beta that I had become a people pleaser.

I have exams in 2 months so monk-mode/isolation could help me, so far, I've decided that I will:

  • Spend time studying for exams (#1 priority)

  • Lift in the gym/go boxing club

  • Join university societies (climbing)

  • Read books, such as The Art of War, 48 Laws of Power, etc

  • Read more RP material

I have also decided that until my exams are over, I am going to quit alcohol (and thus, partying) as it gets in the way of my fat-loss (seriously, I have had so much fucking progress fucked up by going to parties and binge drinking).

Am I approaching monk mode in the right way? I've tried implementing it and I've found it...difficult (but isn't finding all this stuff difficult indicative that I need monk mode?)

I have heard a lot of different things here about 'dead' time and how video games and such aren't viable options, but I simply need some way to relax without burning out. How do you think I can do that? Video games? Watching movies? In my spare time, my friends aren't always available. I won't masturbate either in my spare time because I'm doing /r/NoFap.

TLDR - What can I do to relax at times when I feel stressed during monk mode/tired.
