Your brain is likely fried on dopamine. Cut the porn, sugar, excessive YouTube videos, and other stimuli. Go outside for a walk everyday with a good podcast, meditate, journal. In a couple of weeks you’ll feel better.

You sound envious of other people. I would be careful of this, as envy can be understood to be the root emotion of narcissism. Unhealthy narcissism produces all kinds of problems with your self identity and your self esteem, and can leave you feeling worthless, which is the tone I get from your post. Seek out a therapist or read about this stuff to work through it, and hopefully you’ll find some progress, psychologically speaking. Keep going, and good luck. DM me if you want further advice.

Living in the past is depression. Living in the future is anxiety. Live in the now, and you will have peace. Find your peace. See a therapist, get your mind together, and build your character back from the ground up. You know what to do. Life is amazing and wonderful, and you are the only person that can make sure that you live a good one and enjoy the limited time that you have. Make the most of it.

Take responsibility and set your own goals. Why do you want someone else to tell you what to do? Trust yourself, and create your own opportunities to meet other people. You’ll learn much more this way, and you’ll feel better about it too.

If it gets to a point where she has waited for a while and is wanting an answer, I’d just be honest and tell her. It’s a more decent thing to do, and if she leaves, you can get new plates anyway. This would be better for your overall reputation in the long run than if you were to lie and be deceitful.

Go to the party and have fun. Don’t try and deliberately ignore your ex or do anything cringey; just enjoy yourself. If you run into her, say hi. If not, don’t. Overall though, get yourself a mission/goal in life that is much bigger than problems like this, and in the future, you won’t have to worry about these kinds of situations at all, because you have bigger fish to fry.

That’s fair enough. The same strategy applies though. If you build your character, and work on things like your honesty, integrity, strength etc., then you will be able to carry confidence in many different areas of life and you won’t feel that sting anymore.

Work on yourself until you feel comfortable and secure enough when people make fun of you or tease you. Build strength in your identity. When you’ve made it to this stage, you will be able to brush things off playfully and have a laugh. Problem solved

I think the rise of PC culture more generally has to do with the effects of postmodernism - a "credulity against metanarratives" - after WW2. The cultural meaning provided by modernist ideas like patriotic duty, religion, and strong belief in the nation state was significantly diminished. This is reflect in art and literature in the mid-late 20th century. Fight club is a relevant example. Combine this with technological globalism, the rise of secularism, the collapse of the socially conservative…

And certainly don’t externalize the blame on the alcohol for a behavior that should be kept under control. Confirmation and self-serving bias. PC culture jams this script in your head that says "don't worry, I'm OK, and life is OK too", or conversely, "it's not my fault". It is glorified, blissful ignorance, and many take the bait because it is so easy. If you have this mentality, you are completely bereft of agency and personal responsibility. Whereas if you truly believe that you can change yo…

cortisol levels are going to shoot through the roof You've been panicking about this (even in the face of good advice that answered your question) for only a day, with 3 separate posts for the same extremely simple topic, and you can't handle the stress? Are you that incapable that you need someone to hold your hand throughout your life?

If you're short on cash/time, have calorie dense milkshakes. Milk, protein powder, peanut butter, heavy cream, ice cream, 1 banana, mixed berries etc.. Easily 1000 calories, can be finished in 5 minutes. Can't seem to bulk for the life of me. Its so hard to eat 3000 calories a day No excuses.

Well yes, but you're missing the point. The majority of "noob gains" that people acquire in the first 6-8 months of lifting come from neural adaptation. That means that the ability of your CNS to recruit individual muscle fibres when they are placed under load is increased, leading to linear increases in strength. Noob gains slow down because this process has diminishing returns; gains will eventually requiring the building of more muscle fibres (hypertrophy), rather than developing neural activ…

You sound depressed. Diet, lifting, good sleep, sunlight. Surround yourself with positive, supportive people. Do things you enjoy. Try and find out what is causing you to feel like this. My guess is that it is a deeper issue, involving your self-esteem, rather than TRP. If that's the case you need to address it, or else nothing is going to be resolved.

way out of my league i suck dick at it still being awkward beta Get rid of this shit from your vocabulary. You have cognitive dissonance because other people seem to respect you, but you don't respect yourself. Work on your self-respect by focusing on you for a while. You should probably re-read NMMNG too.

TRP doesn't provide an answer because TRP doesn't care. Moral or otherwise, all that matters from the perspective of what TRP teaches is that a certain set of learned behaviours and philosophies, once adopted, proves successful. That isn't to say however that success establishes the moral integrity of an outcome. For example, if you're a great kick boxer, you'll probably beat the shit out of some guy if he provokes you, but that doesn't mean you should do it. Same thing here. Just because you ca…

Clint, you take an absurd number of words to communicate a fairly straightforward concept. You earned your EC status through your older posts, which were regarded highly. Those were succinct and concise, unlike this. Why don't you trim down all the fluff and get to the point?
/r/TheRedPill21/04/16 08:56 PM
1

My point isn't a justification for being a loser. I agree with everything you've said about other people's opinions, but that's not what I meant. After thinking about it for a while, the point I'm making is too subtle to be of any practical relevance. No point wasting time with theoretical platitudes. Thank you for your response.
/r/TheRedPill20/04/16 03:45 AM
1

That's fair enough, but you should trust your own ability to find an answer. That means reading TRP, reading recommended books, etc.. By doing this, you're taking responsibility, which in of itself is a defining characteristic of masculinity, which is what you're trying to understand! So you're learning by doing. Does that make sense?

Don't be someone they need, be someone they want I'd take this a step further and say be someone who you want. Otherwise, by corollary, the implication is that your measure of success is defined by women, and the extent to which they want you. Nice Guy Syndrome stems from this belief, that if you act in a certain way, you will reap the benefits of another person's respect/gratitude/whatever. To eradicate it, you have to throw away with these contingencies ("If I do X, then surely she'll Y.."). O…

Most people have terrible posture. Do this to fix it: - Jack up your pulling volume in your gym routine. Go for 3:1 pull to push - Work on external rotation: face pulls, band pull-aparts, YTLs. - Get a lacrosse ball and mash through your pecs if they're right and pulling your shoulders forward. - If you get upper neck/trap pain, your mid and lower traps and rhomboids are weak. Strengthen them.

Get on a linear progression program until your lifts stall. You should aim to hit 315/225/405 for squat/bench/deadlift around the time this happens. GZCLP, starting strength, strong lifts, grey skull LP are all good options. Thereafter, pick an intermediate program. I like GZCL, you could go PPL, it's up to you. You need to build strength and mass. Fucking around with a bodybuilding split won't get you there.

Do you think Lincoln had a comprehensive vocabulary? The answer is obviously yes. Just because this is true doesn't mean that he has to use more words than necessary. If anything, being aware of how fancy words are used improperly helps you not to do so.
/r/TheRedPill18/04/16 12:19 AM
1

You missed my point. I'm not telling you to use fancy words out of their place; I'm telling you to learn words you don't already know because it improves your language. If you have a word that is shorter and more punchy, use it. Just because you know a more sophisticated synonym doesn't mean it's the right choice. In that vein, obtuse academic terms should NEVER be used in basic contexts. Me personally, I love to read language that is constructed using simple tools to arrive at complex meaning. …

Hitchens is a master of irony. It's a cornerstone of his sense of humour. sit at the desk, drink whiskey, and argue with people about shit. And that just sad, just a sad alcoholic. Yes, he was an alcoholic, but he accomplished a lot more than you imply as a writer and as an intellectual.

I'd say that what's almost as important as learning new words, is learning where and when to use them. The worst thing you can do is use words for the sake of having known them. Always, whatever the context, your words must link to your purpose.
/r/TheRedPill17/04/16 11:56 PM

They go hand in hand. If your vocab is great but you don't understand syntax, then yes, you won't be a very articulate speaker/writer. The above approach is great because it gets you to write, which is the best way to improve on all fronts.

Respectfully, I don't agree with this strategy at all. Isn't the whole point of reading a book to invest time into acquiring new knowledge? Why would you try and fast-track that process, if knowledge and understand is contingent on spending time reading/thinking in the first place? More books is not the same as more knowledge. If I wanted to read about the physics of the Big Bang, I could read a complicated yet succinct book like 'A Universe from Nothing' by Laurence Krauss over a few weeks, or …

Chase your goals instead, and if you're successful, people will notice and the girls will come to you. - In extension from that last point, be passionate about your ambitions. No. Your low back is hyperextended because some muscles are too tight (erectors, psoas of hip flexors, rectus femoris of quads) and some muscles are too weak (hamstrings, glute complex, abs, deep core TA). The above describes anterior pelvic tilt. Search around on the web for exercises to fix it. If you have anterior pelvic tilt I'm willing to bet you also have some degree of kyphosis with rounded shoulders and poor external rotation.

I want to get serious about lifting Start reading. Knowledge is power when it comes to strength training. On a more general note, you should want to be able to make your own decisions rather than asking the Internet for quick solutions. You clearly know nothing about TRP or anything else that you claim to understand. Pouring your heart out to your chemistry lab partner who you haven't spoken to in over a year, telling her you love her, and endlessly harassing her with texts at 1:54am in the morning, is what you call experimenting with your skills? When you swallow the red pill your self-perception changes drastically In other words, your world view shatters into a thousand pieces and everything you thought you knew about yourself, women and life in general is most likely now futile. Why does this happen? Because swallowing TRP is austere, challenging and uncomfortable. Be assertive, pursue your own interests, don't take shit from anybody, and don't apologise for being yourself. If people perceive that as you being a dick, they can go fuck themselves. The golden rule for dancing at clubs is to enjoy yourself. Nobody really cares if you aren't a great dancer, but people can tell if you're faking having a good time. I go to clubs sober and boogie until 4am all the time. And don't worry about your ex; just do what you want to do.

A couple of people have mentioned SAD. Be aware that even if you go out a lot, you can still be at risk. In the past I've had SAD even when I'm outside doing sport in winter up to 20 hours a week. You can prevent it by popping 5000-10000iu of vitamin D per day.

Instead of relying on drugs/alcohol to make you fun, happy and exciting, invest in yourself until that is your baseline modus operandi. This is true both for going out and for sober sex. Firstly, since when did self-respect and the manipulation of others become mutually exclusive? You can't seriously be trying to argue that powerful people, all of whom manipulate others to some extent, don't respect themselves. Secondly, in the context of TRP I don't care all that much about Trump's political views and his ethics. My comment had nothing to do with politics and morals. The lesson to learn from Trump is that his actions are guided by self-respect. He knew that the debate would be weighed against him, so he chose not to attend and did what he wanted to do (raise $25mil for veterans) instead. His time is valuable and he knows it. The simplest way to calibrate oneself in a TRP perspective is to remember the importance of self-respect; when you look in the mirror, you want to be doing this.

All this "I need to become the best" neuroticism is clouding your judgement and making you worry about nothing (have you been watching too many Elliot Hulse videos?); rather, you should be thinking about how to improve. Women are much more motivated to achieve social cohesion and security within their group. They want to be accepted. Much value is placed on building strong relationships. Having a child makes them vulnerable (hence hypergamy). Men, on the other hand, are more inclined to embrace risk and insecurity for the sake of some higher end goal. The advice I gave was for rehab from injury, not strength training. You quantify the progress by not being injured anymore, not by how much you squat. If you're not injured, then what I said is obviously unnecessary.

Because your muscles are very weak, the structural integrity of your joints/ligaments is susceptible to failure, which means you must be very careful not to get injured all over again. The last thing you want is to bulge a disc because your erectors, core, glutes and obliques aren't working properly when you squat. Your 2nd message is classic. Response: "Of course you don't. Meet me at X at Y" This is pretty similar to "we're not having sex tonight" or "I don't sleep with guys on the first date". Given that she has told you about her gag reflex, she will either: - Go down on you anyway (if you game her right). - Abstain while trying to get you for an LTR if she connects well with you. Can't fault her for this, it's fair game. If you're not interested in a relationship, show you're willing to walk away, and…

In addition to the Book of Pook and The Charisma Myth, read The 48 Laws of Power. It helps you better understand power-talk and intentions in social dynamics, which is key to understanding the purpose of flirting (communicating your desire to fuck in an inexplicit way, such as through body language and eye contact). Also, try not to fall into the dualistic thinking of "is this alpha or beta". True outcome independence and abundance means that you don't care about such labels because you're total…

You're 177cm tall. The problem isn't that you're short because you're not. The problem is that you're insecure, and lacking confidence. It doesn't matter that you're not 6'3 with a Herculean, sub 8% body fat physique. Your problem is game. Also, how do you define success? Are you there just to get women, or to have a good time and really enjoy yourself? Try this; focus 100% of your attention on actually ENJOYING what you're doing. Instead of worrying about what your dancing etc. looks like, just…

Train your discipline in other areas of life first. Commit to waking up early everyday, hitting the gym at the same time, eating X amount of healthy meals, hygiene practices, etc.. Do this for 2-3 weeks. After you've done that, quit one of your vices and REPLACE the time you used to spend with some other hobby. The idea is that you need to replace the fake positive stimulus of watching porn with a real positive stimulus, such as learning to play chess and then seeing your rating go up. Eventuall…

What you should be worried about is that you're asking the Internet for advice about a common sense situation. Ditch the "is this alpha/beta" thinking and trust your own decisions.

Track your calories by weight, using a food scale. Google how many calories per gram of the food you're eating. It is really simple. Any reason you come up with for not doing it is just an excuse. Start the gym now (rather than sooner or later), spend 2 hours figuring out how much and of what to eat (Google wasn't invented for nothing) and start making gains. If you need specific advice, then you can ask again here, but you should be able to figure it out by yourself if you want results.

You must defend your reputation. This is a fundamental law. In this situation, the best defence is offence. Don't sit back and try to explain/rationalise/argue your way out of this ("I only read it casually...") Go on the offensive. It will be difficult to find shots to take. You could deny the allegations, and then call her out for what she is trying to do; to spread useless gossip and tarnish your image. Tell her to go, and have a great time. If she goes, lay on an insane amount of dread and basically demote her, irrevocably, from girlfriend to plate. Immediately start going out and hitting on women, and going home with them. What she's doing is not ok for a relationship. Good vibes is a zero sum game. That means that you want to bring the fun to those around you, rather than stealing it from others. Be the source of the most desired emotions of the environment - so be funny, interesting, extroverted. Ask questions more than you talk about yourself, and listen intently. Get people to talk about things they care about. Start meeting people - not just women - right off the bat. Don't wait 5-10 minutes to "psych yourself up".

I don't accept the false dichotomy you're proposing where. A girl can be smart, dumb, or average intelligence, but what I care about are character traits; integrity, curiosity, the ability to hold an opinion, an awareness that you're not the smartest woman alive, and an interest in learning opposing viewpoints to different arguments. A modestly intelligent girl with the above qualities is far more valuable to me than a top 1% IQ know-it-all.

I personally don't like social media and don't use it, but think to myself that perhaps I could use it for my own self gain by promoting a valuable image. Step 1: Forget about chasing women Step 2: Find some other shit to be passionate about (such as martial arts, or music) and chase that instead Step 3: Once you find yourself much more pre-occupied with your passion than with women, you are now no longer over invested. This will then translate into success when you go about the usual TRP gaming of women (approaching etc). An analogy: earn the respect and admiration of the men, and the women will follow.
