Any thoughts on Nofap and its relation to TRP?

While I think that limiting masturbation will help you in the long run, the guys at nofap tend to go a bit overboard

It became relevant when unlimited streaming free porn became available (like, 2009?) that shit is poison.
If you're not tempted by it, then hey, more power to you. But it tends to be addicting, messing up your dopamine receptors the same way drugs do, and that's bad news.

Don't do anything unless it is a conscious choice to bettering yourself. Will nofap better you? Will masturbation better you? Are you going MGTOW for the moment to focus on building your SMV? You have to ask yourself what you want out of your life and do what is necessary to get to that point.

I do it. I find that if you feel you lack the motivation/confidence to workout, and predominately approach girls, it helps. Yeah over at /r/nofap they get a bit crazy saying it gives you superpowers but hey, no harm done really?
Watch some of the videos relating to it too, and /r/noporn, these two should be done together (but I'm not like super strict about noporn). I found some of the video's "logic and science" to be pretty true and believable.
I say might as well give it a try if you are struggling? There's like literally no downsides (ok perhaps lasting longer in bed, but that's if your getting laid right?) and a good amount of upsides.

Some people say that the less you fap the more motivated you are to talk to girls and hit the gym, if that works for you then go for it; i.e. testosterone levels.
If you have problems getting and staying hard in the bedroom, some people will prescribe nofap. If you don't have a problem getting hard alone then the issue is one of two things.
First is that you are putting her on a pedestal and giving yourself high expectations to 'perform'. The hotter she is, the more likely you are to get worried. You get into a loop of wanting to get hard and perform, then it doesn't happen, then you want to get hard even more, then it really doesn't happen and so forth. Swallowing the red pill should fix this, or the diamond-shaped blue pill ;)
Second is you don't have a connection with her. Your dick knows better than you in the bedroom, if he is not keen then you might want to listen to him.

This is pretty accurate. And on point 2, as the great Robin Williams said: "men have two heads, but only enough blood to use one at a time!"

fap if you need to get out the stress, but ..without the internet. Internet prons is bad, it will mess your internal BIOS settings.

I tried it for a month and a half or so.
I stopped because I didn't like the fact I lasted less than 5 minutes before splodin when about 20 was my baseline at "full power".
Expected it to change.
It didn't. Didn't enjoy sex as much because of it.

Reducing it is enough, there is no need to stop it completely.
It will make you more decisive, because you can't just shoot your load when you please, but you need to look for opportunities. You will work harder for goals.
On the downside, obiviously, you will get extremely horny. Seeing a well rounded ass or nice cleavage makes you want to jack off right there. Because of this, you need to channel the energy you get from it and be catious about not fapping for too long.
In the end, it only helps. You learn to deal with extreme horniness (that means you learn to remain calm), you make more decisive moves, you work harder and go for what you want. Also, the discipline part of it is a strong aspect. Saying "No" to fapping with the internet full of porn in front of you takes discipline.

6th month of nofap. I feel great, more energy, less stress and more concentration.

i don't mind if people choose it. i oppose trying to enforce it on other people. there are benefits to nofap if you are trying to get laid more often. there are benefits to fapping if you are trying to get laid less often. one of these things is more likely to get you an STD, a fuck trophy (unwanted child), or problems with an unwanted woman. the other is more likely to result in basement dwelling behavior where you will be less likely to interact with the world. which one is best for you depends on what type of person you are, and what you want out of your life.

I think it's counterproductive and silly. I think their are studies that show that porn addiction is a myth. http://psychcentral.com/news/2014/02/13/exploding-the-myth-of-porn-addiction/65835.html
If you have a hard time getting it up or can't fuck a woman you probably have issues with your testosterone and self-worth. It's mental.
My only problem with porn is wasting too much time watching it. You should be out doing other things, but there is nothing wrong with a satisfying jerk.

Not relevant at all. Except in the sense that if you find yourself jacking off to porn 3 times a day then you probably don't have the game to get laid.
