Me: Nice to meet you I'm Maurice. (Shake her hand)

I get back to ordering my cigarettes and she heads to the other side of the store. The cashier computes the cost and I pay as she comes back to our side of the store. As I pay I notice she isnt standing behind me in line but to the side not doing anything, almost subtly saying talk to me. After I pay

Me: Can I ask you a personal question?

Her: Yeah

Me: Are you single?

Her: No, I'm married

Me: (Starts laughing) I shouldn't be talking to you

Her: (Silence)

Me: Bye

Her: (Doesn't respond)

How do you guys handle non-availability? It could get you killed as a man if your super aggressive and the girl is taken right? I fought a bunch of football players over a girl at Endicott college in Massachusetts my senior year college, got my ass kicked so I try to respect boundaries, yet on the other side chicks like throwing shit tests. Everyone knows "I have a boyfriend" can be a test to be smashed through. Was I too overt by asking if she was single?
