I work Sat+Sun and I want Saturdays off. Earlier, I asked to be taken off. They complied, but after two weeks started putting me on the schedule again. "Nice guy" me was just unfrontational and started coming back in. They really need people and butter me up every week. It's working as I have been working both Sat + Sun for the past two months.

My social life obviously sucks. Also, I need to work on my assertiveness and every week I work there the complete weekend is a reminder that I"m a pussy. It's hard though. The managers are really nice and cool people...always treated me fairly (except for this.)

This past weekend it occurred to me that I should tell them "sorry, I can't work Saturday anymore". But I made up excuses.

It occurred to me that I could simply text my assistant manager this, which would be way easier. However, this would be way less alpha. This might be a golden opportunity for me to work on my assertiveness.
