6"4 Euro guy going to UK for postgrad degree in a couple of months. Joined some voicechats and chatrooms for my degree/uni/city and encountered a lot of English and Scottish chicks and dudes. I have improved my game / amused mastery over the last 3 years and I am fairly good at it. But as a 23 year old, being in conversations with 17/18 y.o. British freshers is just a whole new level.

I have tried becoming a happy and smiling guy and remove the rational and intellectual stick from my arse (i am ENTJ in myers briggs). But still, even after having kicked the shit out of somebody in my MMA class (which puts me in the most relaxed mindset you could imagine) i still end up being the creepy old guy in those conversations, who people tell "ur such a melt". I just don't get the humour of those people. Even in my most primitive mindset I couldn't laugh at stuff like "bae he said penis he such a kink". And I could not even come up with stuff like that.

It's actually my goal to plate a couple of freshers during my Masters, but the primitivity of Brits is just putting me, as a cultured European*, off. Add to that the rise of feminism in that country.

So, how do you deal with seemingly stupid chicks? How do you not end up being that creepy guy? I feel like "amused mastery" sometimes comes over as arrogance, especially as 18 year old girls are told that they better be taken "seriously" and not the opposite way.
