Hey guys I need some advice, I've started working at my first "real corporate job" that has over 50 employees recently. I got this job because of family connections to the owner when I went to meet him he told me I would start out at X salary. I agreed we shook hands and I started working/training the following week. Payday comes, HR lady comes to give me my check, she says you are getting paid much lower than the boss offered because you are "training". I completely understand the first week however Its been three weeks, I have a good grasp on my job duties and I'm still getting paid the "training" amount because the HR lady thinks I just sit around all day not doing anything or doing some bullshit training in my office. What should I do in this situation? I'm fairly young and office politics seem to play a key part in this job whether you stay employed or get fired. What is the smart move to get my promised salary and promotions in the future? Really need some solid advice here fellas thank you
