This may turn out to be very long post and I am very tired right now, so I apologise for the length and the poor grammer in advance.

I'm currently 18 and for a quite some time now, I've been thinking on and off about moving in with my dad. My mum and dad are divorced. My brother, sister and myself have only ever lived with our mum and only saw our dad on the weekends. So basically, we haven't gone any more than a fortnight without seeing our mum ever since we were born.

But over the years, I've become tired of all the unessesary shit that I have to go through on a daily basis. The house we live in is small and cramped. My sister, who is disabled, constantly screams and cries and it's only getting worse. I constantly get nagged for riding a motorcycle and planning on joining the army, always complains and says something like "Why couldn't you just be a doctor?" and CONSTANTLY compares me in a negative way to both my friends, some of whom are studying to be become doctors -- a field which I have zero interest for and also to the kids of her friends.

In short, I'm just over all of that pointless shit. And I know that all that would cease if I were to move in with my dad. His house is bigger than ours and it's only him living there for now. He's already very much open to me moving in with him, my workplace wouldn't change, my life wouldn't change drastically, I would just be living in a new home.

The problem is, once I even mention this to my mum, she is going to lose it. I can already imagine her saying things like "So this is what I get for raising you?" and "He (my dad) is just using you for his own benefit!". I have no idea how my dad could really gain material benefit if I were to move in with him, I'm 18 so it's not like he's getting child support money off me and it's not like that would really affect my anyway.

It's also likely that my older brother would also get pretty angry at this decision, as he's not really no good terms with my dad at the moment. My dad's not perfect; he's a recovering alcholic and I'm pretty sure he still takes drugs (most likely spice).

But I still think it's better than staying here at my mums house. My dad's supportive of me joining the army and he's cool with me riding motorcycles. He's also very savvy with a lot of fields (cars, plumbing, electrical, computers, software) and I think that I can learn much more from him than my mum whose only skill really is to cook.

Furthermore, since this is a red pill subreddit, I have to mention how it will benefit me getting girls over. My dad starts work early and finishes late. Some days he also goes to AA meetings where he can come back pretty late into the night. On the other hand, my mum is a stay-at-home and is practically always at the house and since my sister is disabled, there really isn't a lot of oppertunities for her to go out aswell.

It sounds like moving in with my dad is a no brainer, but there's a lot of factors that I have to consider. I want to upset my mother as little as possible if I do end up moving out. She probably has an undiagnosed eating disorder, and maybe even a sugar addiction. Both my brother and I have been trying to sway her off that path, but I'm worried that me moving out will only increase her habits further. I also know that she will never treat me the same once I do move out. She did the same thing with my brother when he also moved out for some time and she just acted like she was talking to a ghost or something whenever he came around.

I won't say anymore than I have already, I just want some advice that you guys can give me after reading all I have written. It would also help to be able to get some good responses to these comments that my mother will indefiently give:

"So this is what I get for raising you since you were born?"

"Your father is just using you like fiddle!"

"You're going to hate your life there"

Thanks for reading this guys.
