Long story short, there's a girl I've known for about a month that I've been looking to get into a relationship with, however I've had major difficulties achieving this.

Just today I got a text from her (after a small back and forth of texts) saying: "I hope you know how happy I am to have you here. Sappy, I know, but I really appreciate our friendship." I have no idea how to respond to this. I don't know if this is a definitive "friendzone" (then I obviously ditch it), or if this is simply a display of affection, or if this is a bundled up shittest, and she is trying to gauge my reaction. I'd love a little insight from you all. Thanks!
