Now that I am starting to see the world through a TRP lens, I have some nagging concerns about my ability to effectively carry out any strategy I see fit to develop. I've made good use of the sidebar and consider myself well read as far as consuming the great material this sub has to offer.

I'll mention that I am starting in a good place. I am still in college, am good looking, work out, confident, charismatic, and outgoing. I know I'm smart enough to actualize what I have been learning here, but there's just one problem (hence the title).

My hearing is absolute shit. If I am having a 1-1 conversation with someone in a quiet space I am golden. But being in college, quiet spaces are few, and even then there may not be women there I want to talk to. I tend to shut down in places like bars because I simply cannot follow what is going on. Believe me when I say that no amount of willpower, hope, or focus can makes you hear better, I've tried.

Man, I remember the summer before I started my freshman year 3 years ago I was thinking I could use my hearing loss as a way to evoke empathy and attention from women. Early on I thought I could use it as an excuse to go somewhere quieter. Ugh. Idiot. I honestly cringe looking back at my former self, it even makes me a bit angry.

Anyway, I'm not here because I want to throw a pity party/bitch fest, but rather, if anyone else has the ability to relate to me based on a similar issue I would really love the input.

It's funny, really. I get that we aren't supposed to listen to 90-99% of the shit women say anyway, but it's hard to pass a shit test if you have to have the girl repeat it 3-4 times before you even know what's being said. And, by the way, people fucking DESPISE having to repeat things. At least at my age/generation. Especially women. Especially especially when I am trying to be seductive because it just ruins the flow of conversation as you can probably easily imagine.

One problem I've run into time and time again is that women do not have the patience to carry a conversation with me no matter what game I run.

So, thoughts? Maybe I'm not thinking about this the right way yet or perhaps I am not looking in the right places. I know this may be a challenge/strange for people to relate to.

TL;DR: Having shit hearing limits opportunities to be able to talk to women as well as carrying a conversation should one start.
