Your problem isn't how you're ending them.

Imagine her telling her best friend about your date. "Omg I met this guy and we had this awesome coffee date and he was like 'this was fun let's meet again '! Omg it was so good until he said that" not how it happens.

Not trying to be that guy, but you should engineer the date to end in sex.

Why?

It sounds like you just aren't emotionally compelling enough for her to look forward to a text from you later on.

When girls flake/ghost, it's not that they don't like you. It's just not a 10 out of 10 like. If she's cute, she's more willing to give an unknown guy a shot, over the guy that was merely nice.

You can do the ambiguous ending or "the cut short" - but those are calculated risk moves. They are more likely to end in ghosting than not.

Madison sets up the coffee date differently. I'm still on the fence about it.

Let's do coffee around 6, downtown.
If we like each other, there is a blah blah blah close by.

She might feel some kind of way about an explicit two part date, sensing that the first part is some sort of audition for the real date - but as long as your frame is solid, it's a decent play.

You can stack on the ambiguous ending or the cut short with this - and try to put some dread into it - but that goes back to how well you convey your personality and get psychological investment out of her.

What I do is the planned formal date + we're having so much fun, five more minutes + I know a place... Of course said place is near my flat...

When you get her highest level of investment, it's much easier to end things ambiguous, cut short, or leave some sort of lingering doubt and have it work out where she wants to see you again. Because now instead of looking for reasons to say no to sex, she's rationalizing why you were so awesome to fuck on the first night.

That said, first night lays might not be your thing. I respect that.

But if you want to sustain interest for another date - changing your end game isn't as important as making the time together much more compelling.

Something you're doing wrong on the date. I also am not a huge fan of coffee dates. Why even go on a date where sex isnt a possibility(45min date where you end it)? You can screen and then get sex in the same date if your setup is better.

Stop going on dates where you're not trying to close. That's kinda like...the whole point of the date. You're creating a chance for sex to take place. Add that too the fact that you're giving her too much comfort and you got either a first class ticket to the FZ or what you keep getting rn.

I remember reading something saying give no indication of when you will see them again, or let her worry the date went poorly and you're not interested. I have a feeling I may be providing too much validation when I ask to see her again at the end of the first date.
