As of late, I've been quite puzzled. What is the motivation behind our self-improvement?

Every day we build ourselves physically, intellectually, and financially- all for the attention of other humans. We could look at ourselves in the mirror, lecture ourselves, and enjoy our great fortunes alone, but that would be quite lonely. My goal seems to always fall upon finding a life partner, but I understand that it is wrong to search for one. Am I forever damned to never enjoy the emotional side of things and only the physical side of relations? And if I do trick myself into enjoying emotions, I know that it is all short-lived and in vain.

Why do we move forward when we know that we will be disappointed? We enter this world alone, work for our dopamine, and face our death alone. That's it.

Due to my religious upbringing, I felt more comfortable ignoring the cold hard truth of things. Religion skips over the cold hard truth and soothes our existential dread with a larger-than-life-purpose. People choose not to distract themselves with religion and instead distract themselves with chemical fixes.

RedPill isn't a philosophy and it doesn't advertise itself as one. It's a sexual strategy that encompasses all aspects of life. All threads are tied to women. But most of them ignore greater purposes. The occasional thread regarding purpose are full of people who are trying to sell their beliefs to others. They don't know what their actual purpose is because there isn't a purpose. Everything is pointless and in the name of chemical fixes. Even me, I'm selling my idea to others because I simply don't know.

I have my goals in life and I will achieve them, but I don't believe they mean anything other than chemicals in my brain. Our purpose will be simulated with science one day. What will our purpose be then? It's hard to keep going forward when you know that it is pointless in the grand timeline of things. Death is the worst possible thing to ever happen and I will avoid that at all costs. Avoiding death was once our purpose and it kept us on our toes. Now, in our luxury and safety, we have to define our own purpose that transcends imminent death.

Ignore my rambling, go back to your chemical fixes. Or you could sell your purpose.

Edit: Fond this:

There is the belief that things should just be acknowledged as they are and nothing else. Humans want to understand everything and it has worked for us... but I don't think humans will ever be able to come up with a purpose for life. The universe exists because it exists and it is indifferent to your existential woes. Looking for a purpose in everything will make you neurotic and cynical. Enjoy things for what they are until you can't enjoy them anymore.
