Over the summer I was dating this girl who was very jealous. She once yelled at me for liking a mutual female friend's photo on Facebook. It was a very non-suggestive photo, btw.
Anyway, we went to a baseball game in august. I left my seat to use the bathroom, and on the way back I saw an old female friend of mine and gave her a hug after a quick conversation. My girlfriend told me: "i saw you hug that girl. that's not gonna fly." And I responded: "No, but you will," making a motion with my hands suggesting that I wanted to throw her into the air. She gave me a death stare for a good minute. What do you think of the way I handled this? Should I have been diplomatic instead? Additionally, a girl told me that what I said to her was "very rude." I get the impression that if the roles were reversed the girl would be getting high fives for standing up for herself. Thoughts?
