Hey guys,
I'm a nice guy. That means I am always looking for validation from others. In everything that I do, I'm looking for some external validation.
Thankfully, I bought No more Mr nice guy and I hope I will be cured after that.
I'm in first year of College. I worked hard to come here : I spent the last 3 years working. Not doing any sports, not having any friends or girlfriends, not having any hobbys or passions. Nothing. Nothing else than work.
I reached College and I discovered the parties, some hobbys. I was really popular, going to all of the parties, and I got a sexfriend. That was good times. But I wasn't working at all anymore.
Now, my situation is complicated : I have no friends anymore, no sexfriend, I'm basically alone and I'm affraid to go to parties because there will be mostly people who hates me there. I have trouble with my marks which aren't good at all. They are talking about expelling me.
So, of course, my main priority has become to work so that I don't get expelled.
BUT. Something I often read is that it's in College that women are the hottest, etc etc.
I have big dreams for my carreer. But reaching the goal I have in mind would mean to go on for THREE FUCKING OTHER YEARS WITHOUT NOTHING ELSE THAN WORKING. Fuck that shit ! I've been delaying all my life! Saying to myself "work now, you'll benefit from it later and enjoy it later".
So I'm asking myself a lot of question : would it be worth it? It would give me a lot of status, connections, money later but....is that worth sacrificing my years in College which are meant to be the most beautiful years of my lire, where all the girls are so pretty?
The thing is, I'm a kind of extreme guy. I do ONE thing and that's all. I involve myself 100%. Either I party like crazy and focus only on girls either I work and I never go on any parties. So I don't think I would be able to focus on work and go to some parties only. Another issue is that I need at least 9 hours of sleep per night.
Understand, I've already spent most of my life alone, without girlfriend, working, without hobbys. I've tasted what being popular was, what sex was. On one hand, it makes me really happy to work because I love what I do. But I'm tired of those nights where I am alone in my room, hearing people having fun outside, wanting to have fun too but can't. Not because I have to work, but because I know no one, I'm not invited.
I'm kind of lost. I don't know what to do.
