Guys, I’ve been feeling super fucking bad and I don’t know where else to let this out. A girl I’ve loved my whole life since middle school just isn’t in to me. She doesn’t like me. I’m not bad looking—I lift and box and I’m a junior Chemical engineering student but I just cannot talk to girls and seal the deal for shit! I was Varsity captain of my cross country and swim teams in Highschool. I’m 6’1 165lbs.

I’m feeling incredibly worthless these past couple weeks because I don’t know what’s wrong with me. Why doesn’t this girl like me? I’m better looking and better everything than any of her past boyfriends. I’m funny. But I just want to end it. What pushed me over the edge was finding out one of my best friends has fucked her not once, but TWICE. And my real best friend came out with proof he fucked her as well at the same instant. I just can’t handle it. My heart sank and never resurfaced. I’m literally holding back tears and I’ve never cried over a fucking girl before. I left my previous girlfriend to chase this girl after her last bf cheated on her and I haven’t talked to anyone else since. I dream about her at night. It’s almost an obsession but it’s been the only thing keeping me going. Last week she came down to visit and we got snow cones and went back to my apartment but just sat on the couch talking, despite my advances for a measly fucking kiss. This week she hasn’t replied to any of my messages and leaves me on read. What do I do? I’ve tried getting over this girl but CANT. I can flirt and score with any other girl except her and now I find out she’s a massive slut and “super easy” to my entire friend group? I can’t process this information. It hurts so much I feel like cutting open my chest with a hacksaw and ripping out my heart. I am completely broken.

Edit 2: Back from the gym. I’m calmer now. I still need time, but I promise this sub I’m not investing any more of my time in someone who won’t have me. Thank you for your words of encouragement and logic.
