These are like old wives tales imaginary flags which are largely incorrect and mostly based off of a combination of shit guys don't want in women.

Here are some actual red flags to look for:

Divulges TMI within minutes of meeting (quite frankly, if you like a girl, as a guy you're going to go in to "protection mode" over any woman that was victimized -- think about it, if your sister or a female close to you admitted she was hurt by somebody, you're going to want to cut the balls off the person who did it. The only time I've ever divulged TMI is when I had too much whiskey, and even I had to stop and say out loud "Why the fuck am I saying this? How the fuck did this even come up?" -- a sober girl who divulges every tragedy/trauma in her life is looking to manipulate you in to sticking around so you don't end up being "just like every other guy in her life")
Wants things to move too quickly (lack of self restraint/control, only understands how to gain validation through sex; anything else viewed as abandonment -- essentially, she's conditioned herself to believe that her value and worth is gained through you wanting to be with her, or to have sex with her. A rejection of that is viewed as a rejection of her as a person)
Readily puts other women down, is unable to interact with other women (shows extreme jealousy/security issues)
Unless she grew up with all brothers/all male household, and/or works in a male dominated industry, there is absolutely zero excuse to not have a single female friend. Look at her behaviour in regards to point #3.
Has a lot of ex-best friends (imagine this person is having a birthday party -- if you can't see the same people showing up a few years in a row at least, there's a problem. Only exception being if they moved from a completely different area and are trying to make new friends)
Has zero goals in life, zero ambitions. Even if your goal is "I'd like to be a mother and raise kids" or "I'd like to finish school, get a job in blah blah field", at least you have one. Avoid anyone who "just wants to take things as they happen" (it demonstrates irresponsibility in life, inability to plan ahead).
Seeing a psychologist/psychiatrist? WTF? A person seeing a doctor is actively getting their shit together. Some people prefer to drown their friends in their problems, other people feel certain problems are best discussed with someone who can handle it.
You have no idea what "the wall" is... so let me explain it once and for all since nobody seems to get it. "Walled Women" grew up sheltered, praised, and had very little expectations of them. They got by on beauty, never bothered to improve themselves, never had to look after themselves because they could chalk up their figure to "Genetics". As the years go on, age starts to catch up with them, but it's okay because fat starts settling in places like boobs and ass. Then age really catches up with them: they're 30, still have no accomplishments, no life skills, stuck making minimum wage, and now their weight has caught up with them due to lack of caring because "omg it's muh geneticcczzz". Your body can only handle abuse for so long. So, they start to lower their standards and looking for any guy who will accept them "as they are" because it's the path of least resistance. That's what "hitting the wall" is. Or, you can be 30, go "what the fuck have I done", hit the gym, and actually start a career/life plan/goals where you maintain or increase desirability.
Tattoos, lol give me a fucking break. This isn't the 1950s. I work at a very corporate office where visible tattoos are accepted. Why? Because it's 2015. The only tattoo you should be wary of are women who get the basic bitch tattoos because it shows stupid life choices and poor taste.

A personal red flag for me is pulling your phone out at any available occasion, even 'socially acceptable' ones like if I went to the toilet or got a drink. To me it says that this person is incapable of being alone with their own thoughts, why do you need to be blankly consuming content or messaging people? It's important to be content with being bored, it's where some of the best ideas come from.
