Why? Because based on how you interact through text you might give people that impression. People use it as a derogatory term. It is an insult and they try to tell you that you should stop what you are doing and try to act more normal.

Because that's what people on the internet do. I used to argue with people on WoW who would be like, "you autistic fuck" and all that shit. I'd be like, yeah I am autistic, what of it? Disempowered, no fucks given.
