The issue here is the fact that it's only monthly. Something is wrong.

She doesn't desire you enough to fuck you more. She desires you but you don't fuck her well enough. You don't instil enough dread/competition anxiety in her to keep the sex hot/frequent. You fail shittests, and are probably living in her frame. You are beta bucks. You haven't made your boundaries, standards and expectations clear in the ltr. The two of you are too familiar with each other and there is no anxiety.

I'm sure there are more possible explanations, but they won't make you feel any better.

Whether you put it in her or not is inconsequential. You're not going to solve the once a month booty problem by 'punishing' her.
