I am not a mod or endorsed. I have been here since May 2013. I am only sharing my interpretation of TRP as a member, so if I am wrong and inadvertently am watering the message down, let me know mods.

Red Pill network is a group of subreddits. The main sub is /r/TheRedPill (TRP) for men, along with /r/RedPillWomen for women. There are other specialty subs (asktrp, books, movies, music, alt, etc.). Just like Reddit is the front page of the internet, TRP is the front page of the manosphere, a broader community of men on the internet across blogs, IRCs, old forums, etc.. We are the main manosphere group in the context of the reddit.com social network.

Our main goal is to be a place to discuss sexual strategies. "OMG Sexual Strategy? Eww. It sounds creepy". Shut up. What is a sexual strategy? It is a strategy to determine what you want in terms of your sex life, what you want in your sexual partners, and how to go about getting it. Women only going for educated, hot, rich, tall, dark, handsome men is a sexual strategy. You want to have several women on call to fuck at any time? No problem. You want a GF or wife that puts out when you want it, and fuck her brains out the way you want it? No problem. Don't let people guilt you for having a sexual strategy. There's nothing wrong with having one.

There are several of sexual strategies we promote here. What are they?

TRP (Red Pill Men) sexual strategies: (3 of them according to /u/softharem)

MGTOW- men going their own way
Plate Spinning- not committing to LTR, being upfront about not wanting a LTR, and having mutliple women at beck and call
Girlfriend/LTR/Marriage game- having a relationship dynamic that enables and promotes a sex life that meets the man's sexual needs

Red Pill Women sexual strategy (only 1)

attempting (and succeeding) at being the most attractive women they can be in order to land an attractive high value man (credit /u/SoftHarem)

Core tenets and concepts that serve as a foundation for those strategies, trp in general, and the manosphere: (this is how I group them- feel free to disagree with how I grouped them, two main groups, Understanding Reality and Game)

Understanding Reality

The Sexual Market- SMV (sexual market value)
Male nature- masculinity, male attraction triggers, alpha and beta traits, lover vs provider paradox, not putting vagina on pedestal, nice guy strategy (why it fails), ways to improve yourself as a man, avoiding oneitis, avoiding friendzoning yourself
Female nature- female attraction triggers, hypergamy, solipsism, hamstering, alpha fux/beta bux, non-red pill women sexual strategy, denying their own agency and accountability
Feminism and its effects on society

Game

Game, communication, powerspeak, shit tests, maintaining frame (don't let the 1 bullet point fool you. This is a MAJOR part of trp)

Some of the common post themes include:

Field reports (mainly regards plate spinning guys, and some LTR guys, but not mgtow).
Theory posts that usually communicate a known concept in a new way.
New theory (powerspeak was new here in 2014 I believe).
Snapshots of beta fails- redditlog posts of guys elsewhere on reddit or news stories of famous beta celebrities failing big time. Serves as a reminder of what NOT to do, and what happens if you do.
Snapshots of female nature- further reinforcing our tenets about the reality of women's nature, as opposed to the idealistic view and pedestal our culture has of females (and as opposed to the pedestal they put themselves on).
Studies in the scientific community, not connected to TRP, that support our tenets.
How do I XXX? Often times here, you will find newbies that didn't lurk long enough and didn't let in the reading material sink in.

TRP is amoral, so it does not take a moral stand on anything. It is just information and observation of human behavior. What someone does with it is up to the individual.

Because it is becoming hard to find masculine identity in the feminized society today, /r/theredpill serves as a male space for unfiltered, raw male communication. It is like a male locker room. We do not filter our message down to make feminists and soft guys feel good. (Actually a lot of us non-mods and non-endorsed have in the past, but the MODs correctly called that shit out and will ban guys who do).

We do not care if we offend. Women can look in and lurk, but they will probably be shocked, because they've never experienced men being men. Most men in their lives have communicated with a huge filter. However, we do not shock for the sake of being shocking. We are this way because we are true to ourselves. If we were a private sub only letting "approved" guys in, we would still be this way.

I have been on reddit for 7+ years (with other user names), trp for just over 1. By FAR the best sub I read, and most influential community in my life. There's a reason why we grow fast when other subs complain about us. Their complaining shines a light on us, and unaware "plugged in" guys start to see the light, and silently subscribe. The only downside is it makes for more competition for us. :)

just because everyone says it doesn't mean it's true.

just because it offends people doesn't mean it's false

men are entitled to approach their lives and relationships with women with the intent to benefit themselves, just as women are entitled to do.

don't believe the mythology about men and women, observe the behavior and come to your own functional understanding

TRP is pragmatic, amoral, and un-idealistic. it discusses how to treat the world in pragmatic terms, and rejects idealistic prescriptions for behavior.

being valuable takes lots of work. now go do the work, as suggested by this other kind gentleman in this thread.

If you really are on the path to becoming a man, you have to do these things yourself. No one is going to spoon feed you information like they are your mom, and if they do; you aren't going to learn anything. Swallowing the red pill is a long, sometimes painful process. You have to be willing to work. Continue reading the sub every day for a while, until you truly start grasping the concepts and realize that YOU have to take control of your life.
