I'm 22 and pretty successful with women atm (2-3 dates per week). I just got a full-time actuarial job (70-80k) and will be moving out of my house closer to this job so I can turn my hour commute into a 10 minute commute. Was wondering if you guys think it's a better idea to find a few roommates and rent a house (end up paying 700ish a month) or to just rent a 1 bedroom apartment on my own (1400ish a month). Right now, these are the pros and cons of having roommates that I see:

Pros: People to talk to; save an extra $700ish a month (can afford nicer car, nicer vacations, or earlier downpayment on house); can be in a large house; still have my own bedroom and bathroom; live in nicer area.

Cons: Having friends over gets more complicated; roommates may be assholes; don't have true independence; sharing space such as kitchen; no current friends looking to rent with me

It seems to me like renting a house with roommates would be the way to go at the moment, but none of my friends are looking to rent. They are all still in school and living at home. I would have to find brand new roommates to do this, and I dont really know where to look.
