If you break it down to an Alpha/Beta dichotomy, Shit tests are tests to see if you're alpha, Comfort tests are tests that gauge how much of your guard you've let down, both are gauges of investment.

I got shit tested last night. I'm 6'1" 185 and I look like an NFL DB...My girl friend tells me I'm too thin and she prefers chubby men. I say "oh that's cool...I happen to love my physique" and smile. She is not a cuddly type of chick, so I say "it certainly makes sense that you really don't cuddle with me that often." Later that night when we get into bed the first thing she does is roll over my way and wrap her arms around me. Without the TRP I probably would have been offended by her comment.

Some girls shit test more than others. If your SMV is high enough you may not get shit tested too much.

A shit test is when she attacks you in some way, trying to put you on the defensive. She might say something rude or she might do something passive agressive to see how you will react. She will then judge your smv based on that reaction.

Your Tinderella story means nothing but responding right away isn't usually the best strategy.
