My father and are starting to get in some pretty fired up arguments with each other, I could sense it since the first day I saw him 4 years ago.

He was in the military back in our country and migrated to find a better future for him and the 4 of us. But after that he never amounted to shit, he has been stuck in the same place physically and mentally going from job to job without been able to hold one for more than a year. He’s 45 now.

I’m very grateful for what he has done for me, but I’m tired of been around a loser that is supposed to be my role model.

He’s trying to get me with the “my home my rules” that every parent has say to his kids at some point. but the things is that we live in an apartment where everyone pays the same amount of money.

I’ve never look at him like some dude I need to put in place, I always go on doing my own thing and barely talking to him. So I don’t know where this came from, but I had the same problems living with my grandparents back in my country and I’m not about to let anything like what I lived back there happen to me ever again.

I always knew something like this was coming, but I never expected to happen so soon. I’m 18 (yo) now. I was expecting it happening when I was about 20 or 21, so I don’t have anywhere to go now, only 4000$ in my account and that’s it, so I don’t know what to do, Should I start to look around or ignore him until I get my shit together and move out then?.
