Good morning. So I've been reading up on TRP and applying it to my life intentionally for a few weeks now, although some parts I've been doing longer without realizing it. I am a married father clawing his way up to the top of the mountain. Life has improved, but I'm looking to take things to the next level.
I've been reading a lot on how to deal with shit tests here, but a thought occurred to me. That seems very defensive, what happens if men start doing shit tests? So last night, I was reading an article about how destructive modern feminism can be. My wife comes from a country where families are more traditional and while women aren't treated badly, they also aren't like the women here. I decided to initiate my own "shit test" and told her about the article I was reading, and asked for her perspective on feminism and how badly men are treated in modern society.
I started off by giving a scenario of how an old woman can hit on a young man in a bar and tell him, "Hey let's go back to my place and screw." and even if the man is uncomfortable, there are no consequences for the old lady. If you reverse the genders, it's possible that the young woman being hit on by the old man can go complain and get the guy kicked out, and if she exaggerates a bit, she can even get him arrested as a "potential rapist." I admit, I created a bit of a straw man, but this was an experimental man-initiated shit test so I wanted to control the scenario as best as possible.
The result was that my wife ended up agreeing with me, and basically dissed feminism altogether. We both went to sleep happily and that was that. I didn't try anything further but I felt like I had a victory.
So my question to you all is, should men initiate shit tests against women on occasion? If no, why not? If yes, what are some other topics you can use that don't make you look beta in the eyes of the woman? Also, would these types of shit tests be a form of dread game or something different?
