So, I usually don't pay for a first date (the girl's portion that is). It works fine, usually. Recently had a chick get pissed because I didn't pay for her drinks the other night on a first date that I got off of Tinder. This made me think about the pros/cons of paying. A few friends agreed with me for not paying while others said don't expect to get sex if you aren't paying (which is definitely not true). What is the census on the topic here? Also if not paying is the way to go, what is the best way to come out of it without coming across as too cheap?

My dates are as follows: I usually tell a girl "lets hang out and get drinks at this one restaurant/bar by my house." I've always though the situation/date was rather casual. I never order food. So I was taken aback by this girl. In my experience girls will have the check split or I'll say something like "okay so I'll get my drinks and you'll get yours".
