I'm going through the sidebar reading (specifically the manipulated man) and I've come upon a question.

If women trade sex for resources, and care little for the man, as is adamantly pointed out in the sidebar, then why do women accept flings and plating by alphas with little to no means of resources? Why have a passionate fling with a guy right out of prison with no wealth at all? These men often don't hold even the potential for wealth. Doesn't that contradict what is preached in the sidebar or am I blatantly missing something? I understand they want better genetics for their children and enjoy the emotions and tingles but this seems to go against what I'm reading about resource exchange none the less.
