Single moms are NEVER LTR material:

1) Spending YOUR time, energy, and treasure to raise SOMEONE ELSE'S genetic propagation unit is a FOOLS errand.

2) Here's the order of priority: Her ex's children will ALWAYS come first. Then her. Then her ex. Then YOUR kids (if any). Then, and ONLY then will YOU matter. When ALL of those people's needs are met.

Do you SERIOUSLY want to be "job #5?"

Single moms are ONLY for plates and ONS.

What are your thoughts about the different types of single moms and which are LTR material?

I don't have any. If you have kids that's your choice, and I choose to avoid you. None are LTR material because of the first sentence.

Obviously, not all single mothers are created equal. There is a world of difference between a never married woman with multiple kids (none of which have known paternity), and a widow who had children exclusively with her late husband.

There's differences, but the same thing that makes them a no is the children. I don't want to be responsible for or around another persons children.

I am currently dating a very successful woman who lost her first husband after 16 years of marriage and 4 children. She doesn't need me to financially support her or her kids. And she speaks of her late husband with the utmost respect and adoration. I think she is a strong prospect for a LTR. At the same time, the thought of moving into another man's house and raising his children makes me very uncomfortable.

I'd be uncomfortable with it as well. I don't care what she's bringing to the table when she's also bringing a bunch of people I don't want anything to do with.

Is it ever a good idea to LTR a single mom? Under what circumstances?

No. None.
