Things have been cleaner recently. I have a few additional requests to help keep everything tidy.

  • When you see a complete shitpost or Rule 1 violation (someone trying to preach or soapbox instead of asking a question) please put OP's username in the comments before reporting

This allows me to ban the offender even if they delete the post.

  • Don't report just because someone disagrees with you

This has been a longstanding problem, but please, don't do it.

  • If you managed to find this place, you should understand the basics of how reddit works

I'm not going to explain things you ignored by not reading the ban message. I am not going to explain why your post was removed when automod messages you saying brand new accounts don't get to post.

  • Read the rules.

Our rules are pretty simple. Stay on topic, ask a real question, and questions that are basic faq or covered by a basic skim of introduction material get removed.
