Worrying about looking desperate or creepy is worrying about the girls perception of you over your own. Defining your expectations isn't desperate. Bending those expectations just to get a girl comes off as extremely needy and weak. It's the same as clearing your whole schedule once you get the hint that she might be free that day.

Creepy is going to happen. You have to be willing to risk that. Think about the celebrity rule. If David Beckham grabbed a girls ass, she'd like it; if a regular guy did, it's creepy. You're going to be on both ends of the spectrum one day, get over it. And what you do might not even be, by definition, 'creepy'; girls have the same 5 - 6 words they use for shit they don't like, half the time it doesn't even make sense. Don't let it affect you.

Most of that shit is mental masturbation. I generally agree with the camp that holds texting game as a means of setting things up to see each other and not much else. Practically, it's both. You have natural interactions and you set up opportunities to meet up but the point is to never text too much. Keep it to a minimum so you have animation and material for when you're actually together.

The problem with text game is it's name: it implies that there is a certain combination that will get a chick wet. And although technically it's possible that this happens sometimes, it's really the exception. There isn't a "great" and a "poor" way to text.

It should be called "texting mechanics" instead, because instead all there is are things that are ok to do, and some you shouldn't. Like pooping.

Think of the rules at a busy surfing lineup. If you fuck up you might get roughed up or miss waves. If you do OK then you get to ride your turn. How you ride the wave has nothing to do with your lineup actions - it was a means to an end and now it's time to perform.

In essence, use texting to get a date and secure follow up ones. Maybe an occasional banter. Otherwise drop it.
