I'm 17, m, attending an international high school outside of the US. In a sense, it's like your typical high school in America but it's a lot more toned down, at least from what I see, in terms of girls being slutty and what not. Our school's really small, around 90 per grade, and the kids are children of diplomats, government officials, so maybe that makes them a little more wary of the shit they do outside of school. News gets by really quick here, especially since these kids fucking live and die by instagram and snapchat.

So I just had a couple of questions:

1) There's this girl in one of my classes that initiates a lot of conversatiosn with a guy. The girl does touches the guy every so often so that makes me think IOI, but I overheard one of their conversations and she was talking about another guy and something he did on Instagram. Now, it looked like she was just looking for an emotion tampon. What in the fuck is going on? I have no interest in the girl but is this just some crazy shit girls in high school do now to maintain her beta orbiter?

2) I might sound extremely stupid and cringey but I'm still learning so I apologize in advance. In class, a solid HB8.5 was just staring at me and when I looked at her, we maintained eye contact for a solid 3 seconds until she looked away. It seemed like she was expecting me to look away and wasn't used to guys maintaining eye contact so I'm wondering if this was in any way, an IOI. She is a genuinely nice person
