So I'm back in my hometown from college for spring break, and for whatever reason I just cannot find anything to do around here. I've hit up almost everyone that I know, people I used to be friends with, acquaintances, etc. I just cannot get any responses. Even if we make plans then they flake/go cold on me when the time comes... I had a falling out with one group of friends from high school, but even when I was friends with them I could barely get a response from them let alone get invited to hang out with them. Granted, it's a small town and there's not much to do -- most people are stuck with friends from high school. Although I was well-liked in high school, I didn't get invited places or anything. It just seems hard to break into friend groups.

I'm also in a fraternity at school and I've been relying on them for most of my social life. I just go to the frat house and chill whenever I'm free. I'm in school so a lot of the time I'm studying and lifting, but it would be nice to have more friends. Ya know, abundance mentality works with friends too.

  1. What do you do to make friends?
  2. What do you do with your friends?
  3. I'm not sure I even want/need CLOSE friends. I just want options for stuff to do really. Is that reasonable?
  4. How do I get to a point where people ask me to come out with them?
  5. General thoughts/philosophy on male friendship?

Also, doesn't it seem like close friends almost always come with a certain amount of conflict/drama?
